Antique French Milk Glass Epergne, French Compote, Antique Milk Glass. "Antique French Milk Glass Compote with Flower Flute circa 1900" The flower flute measures 8 inches total height. The two piece together measures 12 and one half inches high overall. The compote measures 9 and three quarter inches across and is 6 and one half inches high. The base measures 5 inches across.

Antique crucifix silver plated cross with animals

Silver crucifix,Antique crucifix silver plated cross with animals, This "crucifix" or cross measures 14 and one quarter inches by 10 and one half inches. This "antique crucifix" is extremely well made with sculptures of animals hand riveted on all four points along with a sculpture of Christ. The individual silver plated sculptures depict the animals which are the heraldic devices of the four Gospel writers: Matthew (man, ) Mark (lion) Luke (winged ox) and John (eagle or phoenix). This silver crucifix is silver plated over copper and dates from the mid to late 19th century.This cross is quite heavy and most probably Eastern European

Paintings of angels,Antique Italian panel wall paintings angels playing musical instruments, this set of four "angle paintings" date from the mid to late 19th century and are in their original gold leaf frame. Excellent condition. The frame measures 15 inches by 22 inches and each painting measures 7 by 3 and one half inches. This truly a beautiful piece of decorative art.

Antique prisoner nautical ships diorama model builder

Antique ships prisoner diorama. This "diorama" depicts two French prisoners of war marking off another day of confinement, with bone carving tools and a partially completed bone model at their feet, in a English prison cell. Made of wood, cloth, plaster, straw and pigment. Note jewelers and watchmakers in Ghent were conscripted by Napoleon to serve in his war with England. They were captured and imprisoned by the British. They passed the time by carving intricately detailed ship models out of bones left from the meals. These two prisoners are standing next to a ships model with all the tools they are using to make the model on the floor next to it. Very good original as found condition.This model measures 13 inches wide 9 inches high and 6 inches deep. The top of the glass case is 11 inches.
