Antique leather elephant,this "elephant" was made from wood with a leather cover. It was most probably made in the mid 19th century in India during the British rule,Anglo India period. It could also have been made in African. It is quite a wonderful sculpture with glass eyes and exacting detail. There is an old repair to its trunk. It was cracked and someone repaired it along time ago. This Elephant measures 19 inches high at the trunk and 13 and and one half inches to its back. The length is 19 inches.
Antique American Federal wall mirror,This period looking glass is from Salem or Boston Mass. We believe it was carved by Samuel Field McIntyre between the years of 1815 and 1818. The cornucopia design is beautifully carved and retains all its original gold leaf. This antique "Federal mirror" or "antique looking glass" measures 39 inches high by 19 inches wide by 2 and one half inches deep.
Antique Chinese storage box. This "Chinese storage box" would make a wonderful jewelry box, The back has beautiful hand made dovetails. This antique Chinese box measures 11 and one half inches high by 9 and one half inches deep by 14inches long. Dates from the mid 19th century.
Modern Danish silver,Georg Jensen sterling silver,Georg Jensen sterling silver serving knife for fish or cheese I am not sure which. This Georg Jensen serving knife is marked Georg Jensen Denmark along with a stainless steel blade that is stamped Frank Cobb Sheffield England. This serving knife measures 8 inches long.
Pre Colombian carving, This pre Colombian temple face carving or ornament adorned a Mexican temple. This pre Colombian face carving dates from 600 ad and measures 5 inches high by 4 and and one half inches wide by 3 and and one quarter inches deep. It looks as though the material is a form of lava.There is a piece broken of its top which must have happened when it was removed. There is mortised out whole at the top which must have had a ring that help the piece to the temple.
