Period American antique Curly Maple Mortar and Pestle "antique mortar and pestle" The mortar, or bowl,is made of wild curly maple wood, measures 8 inches tall and 5 and one half inches in diameter. The bowl measures 5 and one half inches deep. The pestle, the bat shaped tool, measures 11 inches long, the handle end is 1 and one half inches in diameter and the mashing end measures 2 and one half inches in diameter, and it is beveled. The mortar is used to hold grains, herbs, and other food substances and the pestle is used to pulverize these substances within the mortar. circa 1780. This is the only curly maple mortar we have ever had the good fortune to sell. The curl is so pronounced you can run hand over the mortar and feel each curl in the wood. The perfect addition to any important country kitchen accessory collection

Antique American Victorian Cast Iron Boot Scraper circa 1875. This "antique boot scraper" measures 14 and one quarter inches long by 9 and one half inches wide and stands 8 and one quarter inches high. This with out a doubt one of the best boot scrapers we have ever had. The casting detail is superb with dragons coming out of the water grabbing hold with their teeth. Most Victorian boot scrapers are simple with no where near the detail of this one with its heavy casting and complicated details.

Antique Chinese Bronze Oriental Dragon Lamps. These lamps measure 19 and one half inches tall and are 32 inches high overall. The diameter is 9 inches. The perfect decorative accessory with well defined dragons attached to each side of the urn vase interior. This pair of Chinese bronze vase date from the mid 19th century and were electrified into lamps in the 20th century.
Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Dish with shell handles. This "Georg Jensen silver dish" weighs 86.25 grams and measures 5 and one eighths inches widest at the handles and stands 7 eighths inches high. The Georg Jensen stamp on the bottom can be seen in one of the accompanying photographs.
Antique Hand Carved Ivory Page Turner. This ivory carved page turner measures 1 and three eighths inches at its widest point and the handle measures half and inch thick and 1 and one eighths inches wide. Also known as a paper knife.
