Japanese Edo Lacquer document box c1865. This is an excellent example of fine lacquer works from the Japanese Edo period in Japan. The inside of the box has a lovely all over design as well as the exterior of the box and its lid. The underside of the lid has a design in gold and lacquer relief depicting turtles,ferns and flowers. The condition is original with some surface impressions on the boxes base from natural wear and a fine line in one of the boxes top corners that can be seen in raking light on the outside but not on the inside. This document box measures 17 inches wide by 16 inches deep by 6 and one quarter inches high.

Ida Bagus Tilem wood carving Mas Bali." Ida Bagus Tilem was born in the village of Mas, Bali, on Dec 13,1936 Died 1993. He came from a long tradition of family woodcarvers. In 1958, because of family financial problems Ida Bagus Tilem left school and set up a studio in Mas at his home, where he sold his own work, and was able to contribute to the family income. Local boys used to come and sit with him.When he was living he had more than 100 apprentices and the same number of fully fledged carvers working with him. He is considered the father of Bali wood carving. Each of this match pair of hands measures 8 inches long and was carved from lignum vitae and is signed by the artist. Pair of Sandwich blown glass decanters c1800. This is an assembled pair of period American Sandwich clear blown glass decanters. They each measure 8 and one half inches high and have original early stoppers which add an additional 2 and one half inches to the height when they are in place. The pontil base bottoms have just the amount of use wear that we like to see. These were blown into a wood mold.

French antique needlepoint foot stool c1880. This lovely French foot stool has an original hand done needlepoint seat. It is in excellent condition and hand carved from fruit wood. This antique French needlepoint footstool measures 9 and one half inches deep by 13 inches wide by 7 and one half inches high. It is very strong for its size.

Antique 19c Chinese export Rose Medallion platter . This "Rose Medallion" plater measures 16 and one half inches wide by 13 inches deep.The condition of this Chinese Export porcelain piece is quite good with very little wear and no chips. Signed on base.
