"Antique bronzes" Italian Artist Sabatino de Angelis, de Angelis. de Angelis was a very good bronze foundry in Naples at end of 19th century, beginning of 20th century, like Boschetti in Rome. ( he was 30 years earlier). This antique bronze sculpture, or bronze figure by sculptor Sabatini is signed on base "Sabatino di Angelis Napoli" 1886. This bronze figure of Dionysus measures 25 inches high with a 10 inch base. Excellent original patina.

Unusual Japanese okimono carving.This okimono carving is unique with its sliding door.Slide open the door and two people are caught in the act of love. Wonderful carving detail. Measures 2 and one quarter inches long by 7/8inches long. Signed by the artist on base. This wonderful okimono carving came to us from an Essex CT estate along with eight other netsuke and okimono. They were purchased in New York on Madison Ave at a high end shop in the 1960s. Excellent original condition.

"Yachting trophy" Antique sterling Silver yachting trophy.English sterling silver yachting trophy engraved Eleventh Annual Regatta of the Atlantic Yacht Club June 6 1876 MADCAP. This yachting trophy was made by Starr and Marcus, Theodore B Starr and Herman Marcus in New York which latter became Theodore B. Starr. It is stamped Starr and Marcus New York English Sterling 343 on its base. It measures 7 inches high and 10 inches across. There is still a nice trace of the gold vermeil on its inside. The aesthetic movement design along the rim depicts birds,butterflies,the mid base has a shell pattern and the base has a flower and spade design.

American Gorham sterling silver,"Early Gorham sterling silver" Antique Gorham sterling silver handmade center piece,This antique Gorham sterling silver center piece or bowl is without a doubt one of the nicest Gorham pieces we have had. When we first saw this piece we thought it to be Tiffany because of its high quality craftsmanship. The hall marks on the bottom look to be from the 1860s. This Gorham sterling silver center piece is heavy with nice open work all along its upper rim. The pictures do not show just how large this piece is. The bowl measures 11 and three quarters inches long by 6 inches high and 8 inches wide. This Gorham sterling silver bowl weighs 33 ozs.

This English silver salver, tray has a wonderful etched design and scalloped boarder. The salver measures 7 3/7 inches across. We found him listed in Wyler.
